Our Soapbox A soapbox is a metaphorical
raised, improvised platform on which one stands to make an impromptu speech, often about a controversial subject. The phrase
arises from olden times when speakers would literally stand on a soapbox (a crate containing bars of soap) or a similar item
to gain height.
Hyde Park in London is famous for its Sunday soapbox orators, who have assembled at Speaker's
Corner since 1872 to speak about religion, politics, or even shoe sizes.
While we don't discuss anything quite
as exciting as shoe sizes here, we do definately have a few opinions and we're happy to share them with you.

The Benefits of Taking a Bath In the Wintertime, I take a lot more baths - the weather is cooler...and I tend to be a bit more stressed out. There's
just something about a nice, long bath that helps bring a long day to a wonderful relaxing end. "Bliss is a nice, long soak in a warm tub, and it's not just about getting clean," says Connie Midey
in her article, Soak Up the Benefits. In it, she talks about the history of "hydrotherapy" and the
restorative nature of baths. Marjorie Jaffe, in her book, "The Bathtub Yoga & Relaxation Book" says "You
forget how to take care of yourself, and [a bath] teaches you to take time, meditate and be mindful of your body." Naturally,
soap and candles are key players in their overall bathtub rituals. But we knew that. Now off to the bath - candles and soap
in hand. Breathe in...breathe out...ahhhhhhhh.
